Here's the group around Ellen's humongus dining room table. This is her Chambers stove, an old gas stove. My mother had a Chambers and was inordinately proud of it. It was just like this one. Ellen has a menorah on hers.
I would be proud to own that stove too. I would also be proud to own a brick oven on a truck. Either would have me crowing to all my friends and relations.
I'm not a pet person. That seems like a terrible thing to say, now a days. I like cats and dogs, but don't want to live with them.
I'm a retired nurse practitioner. I'm very lucky (knock wood) to be in good health. The freedom in my life at this point is a very positive thing. To come and go as I please and know I always have family and friends I can stay in touch with, to keep me grounded, is a blessing.
Speaking of blessings, I'm not religious in most ways, but I am a Unitarian Universalist, a wonderful religion which says it's OK to think about God, spirituality, or what ever you see as the life force , and change your mind about it. It's called thinking and we like it. So finding another UU can be a way for me to find a friend.
